Back to Reality
We just returned from our month long trip to Denver, and man, is it hard to go back to reality! All those unfinished projects hanging about, unpacking, laundry, cooking, and cleaning (I think that Arwen and Legolas shed enough hair for two new cats while we were gone!). I don’t know, I think there is something to be said for living at home with Mom and Dad!
We did have a wonderful time. It was really nice to have instant babysitters. I do think that one of the reasons John and I are a little happier here in New Jersey then some of the other Colorado Contingent is we moved when Chloe was only six weeks old. We never had the luxury of realiable babysitters, so we really didn’t know what we were missing. I have to say, now I feel a bit spoiled. Poor Chloe didn’t know what was going on, Mommy and Daddy kept leaving her!
All in all, I am still amazed at how well she travels and adapts to new time zones and routines. I do think she does better than I do in a lot of ways. She is certainly better at flying! I don’t care how often I do it, I can’t stand flying. But, since it is necessary to get to one of my favorite activities: Traveling, I guess that its a necessary evil.
She also just blossomed with her language while we were out there. She started saying,”please” and “thank you.” Of course, as polite as that is, she also figure out how to say “no,” which I am less excited about. She also picked up “Papa,” “Grandma,” “choo choo,” “this,” and “Uncle Lance” (I swear, we all heard her say it!)
After talking to people out in Denver, I realized that people are actually reading this blog (sometimes I forget) and so…I will try to update it more often.
We do update the gallery more often then the blog, so check back often for a new round of pictures. Of course, they are mostly of Chloe, but nobody really wants to see pictures of John and I, right?
